Hello!
I like films. I mean, really like films. I’m that person who watches all the 100+ hours of special features on an extended edition box set. I’m that person who will moan if you spoil a film even if I never had any intention of watching it. I’m that person who stays in the cinema until the screen has gone blank and the lights have gone up hoping for an after credit scene. So rather than channel this movie mad energy into annoying the cleaners at the cinema, I’ve decided to start a blog.
There are a
few things I intend to do on my blog that I hope you’ll enjoy. Firstly, I’m
going to be writing reviews of films both new and old. To make this a little different
from normal, I’ve come up with what I think, is a pretty cool way of rating
films rather than the generic out of 10 or 5 stars. (This is something I’ll be
doing a separate intro to some time soon.)
Secondly, I’m
going to be doing some rants because who doesn’t like to let off steam every
now and again? How are these different to reviews you ask? Well, there are some
films that are (to me at least) so bad that I couldn’t bring myself to write a
fair review on them or even rate them. For these dregs of the film world, only
a rant will suffice.
Finally, for
anything else I find interesting or want to talk about I’ll be doing what I
call little film snippets. These will just be little articles about something
that interests me or a debate I want to engage with.
So that’s
pretty much it as introductions go. If you want to ask me anything, give me
feedback or ideas, all of which would be greatly appreciated, then just comment
